Broods Concert

When I saw one of my favorite indie bands was playing in Phoenix, I grabbed my girls went! We had an awesome time at the tiny venue and were up close and personal with the stage. Music and friendship is good for the soul.

Yellowstone

My family decided to make a vacation out of the long trip to pick me up from BYU-Idaho at the end of the semester last week. We drove all around Yellowstone National Park on Friday. It was amazing to see raw nature! Here's some pictures I took of our drive around the park!

Family group shot

While driving around the Lower and Upper loops through Wyoming and Montana, we were able to see different wild-life.

Animals spotted: Buffalo, Caribou, Squirrels/Chipmunks, Moose, Tourists, Foxes, Deer, Geese, a Black Bear, and even an Alex!

A rare sighting of an 'Alex' - very vicious
This buffalo was walking down the middle of the road, causing traffic

As we ventured out of the car to view the natural wonders, we all got nice pink sunburns! The sights were worth it. We had a good time driving around for NINE hours because of a wrong turn or two, and were happy to get back to our beds at the end of the night.

Last weeks

It's finals week! This semester has been a lot of ups and downs. Isabel and I were thinking about it yesterday and we have made a lot of new friends who take us to do outdoorsy things. We have gone camping twice, we hiked all over, have gone on at least 5 different river trips, and just got out of the house a lot more this semester. When it's not snowing outside there's so many things to do! Now as we pack up our room to move back home for fall, we realize how much we are going to miss it! Our Spotify jam sessions, running at the gym, combined dinners, Instagram fame, wandering aimlessly around Rexburg, mental breakdowns, trying to figure out life, cats, lipstick colors, and everything else. Spring semester was Fergalicious.

Roomate Camping Trip

We came up with the great idea to do a girls camping trip. We planned, packed, and took off to the nearest campground this weekend. We had a lot of fun starting a fire, making hobo dinners, roasting marshmallows, and floating down the freezing cold river. It was a nice relaxing get away from the crazy stresses of school. We had an awesome time!

Spring Flowers

Idaho does spring a lot different than Arizona. There's just random flowers popping out everywhere! I love it, it's beautiful.

Home Trip

ARIZONA I MISS YOU. Last week was the end of my first semester at BYU-Idaho. We do 3 semesters a year, so they are shorter and jam packed. We had a week break between Winter semester and Spring semester, so I got to go home! I drove the 14 hour drive with two of my guy friends. We had our Spotify playlists on full blast, stopped at In-N-Out when we got to Utah (no In-N-Out in Idaho), and watched some movies to fill up the time. They willingly even watched The Last Unicorn with me during 2 of those long hours!

We got home around 3am and I went straight to bed. I woke up and said hi to my family before they took off for school. I was excited to go surprise Cody, but with my luck, he wasn't home so I said hi to the cat and headed back home to take my dad out to lunch for his birthday in Phoenix. I eventually texted Cody a selfie I had taken with his cat to inform him of my close proximity to him, and we planned a date night that night.

I drove to my old college town, about 3 hours away, to visit my old room-mate and aunt Hayley. I had an awesome time getting to eat at my favorite place "Gila Bertos" and swimming at Cluff ponds. The drive was nice and relaxing being able to jam to my Spotify premium and enjoy the Arizona desert.

I had a lot of fun seeing my friends, family, and even getting to see my extended family for a baby blessing, and then for a family dinner before I flew back up here to Idaho. My first time flying alone went pretty good! I found my shuttle bus and survived walking back to my apartment (without a jacket - AZ is hot, ID is freezing) carrying all my bags! I was sad to leave my warm happy state, but excited to dive into Spring semester.
